A New Website for a Luxury Brand

Appleberry Press started out as a boutique wedding stationery business that has grown into one of the most respected wedding and event design studios, both in Ireland and abroad. This success has led to the launch a new venture under the name Appleberry Atelier, offering a paired back and exclusive service that focuses on their signature products; venue illustration and custom monograms.

Appleberry’s creative director came to Journey with a vision of creating a brand and website that felt as beautiful as her designs, showcasing the superior quality of the products and reflecting the price tag. This was a luxury brand needing a luxury website.

We began to develop creative ideas and supporting copy that would match the understated elegance of the brand. A relatively muted colour palette of dusky pinks and gold, mixed with thoughtful typography and stunning professional photography, combined to produce a site that ignites the senses and provides a truly engaging customer experience.

Not only was the look important but the website needed to have usability at its core. As a multi-step process where the client can customise their order, the website that we designed needed to make the customer journey as convenient and easy to navigate as possible. With these objectives in mind, we created a working prototype (a UX-based wireframe) to understand how each user would navigate the website, and rigorously tested the variety of features we had created.

One of our favourite projects to date, the final product invokes a feeling of high-end luxury whilst portraying Appleberry’s passion for quality and beautiful design.
